O’Reilly has published a book called “iPhone Open Application Development: Rough Cuts Version” by Jonathan Zdziarski, developer of the first fully functional application using the open iPhone toolkit. So this book is written by a man who knows his stuff.

It is designed to teach users how to write Native C Applications for the iPhone. He also explains how to use iPhone toolkit and open-source toolkit which was developed by him.
