No Place for Porn at Apple App Store

No adult content is allowed on iPhone and now this is official. At least that's what Apple's Tom Neumayr said, according to CNN. "Apple will not distribute applications that contain inappropriate content, such as pornography.", says Neumayr.

Interestingly, "Hottest Girls", an adult application, was already approved by Apple when the application hit the App Store. However, the application was quickly removed from the App Store.

To be honest, I don't care much whether adult content is present at the App Store or not as long as there is proper parental control system in place.

One way or another, this will be bad news for developers who are already working on adult applications and I think it would have been nice of Apple if they had warned developers earlier.

I am not a prude but this has to be a good move, there is too much unsuitable material around already.

I get a pissed with this. I know it's Apple's store and they should control things but I'm an adult and should be able to buy adult things such as porn apps (not saying I want to).
They should work on parental controls on the phone or on iTunes rather than just blanket telling me I can't have it.

Sorry Steve, I still love your Jobs'ness :)
