Apple has brought its new App Store design to iOS 6 – the recently updated iOS 6 beta comes with the redesigned App Store for all iDevices, featuring new search result layout, Genius recommendations turned on and more.
Currently available to those a part of Apple’s Developer Program, App Store on iOS 6 beta has scored a nice layout change recently. Namely, when searching for an app, the results are displayed in swipeable cards on both the iPhone and iPad. The cards present a screenshot of the app, along with the five-star rating and a handy button to install the app on their devices.
Moreover, the Genius recommendation section has also been enabled. This feature provides apps that may be in users’ interest to download. Along with the changes described above, the purchased section has also joined the party; now displaying all the apps a user has downloaded to their account. This does make it effortless to re-claim favorite apps. And the last, but not the least change is that the iTunes store has been credited the ability to once again search for podcasts – when the podcast list is open, it requires Apple’s Podcast app is to listen. We have provided the video below, describing the changes within the iOS 6 beta App Store in details.
With Apple expected to finally make the iOS 6 available to masses this fall, further details are expected to be announced at the company’s rumored September 12th media event, along with the iPhone 5 introduction.
